Currencies: Finding New Balance

We invite famous economists to discuss the future of the currency market. Representatives will be in attendance from the business and academic worlds, as well as Russia’s Central Bank. We would like to initiate a discussion about the trends in major global currencies and the ruble. The participants will present their views and this will be followed by a Q&A session. The discussion will be devoted to the following subjects:

• What is the outlook of the dollar as a reserve currency?
• Can the global financial system switch from the dollar to another currency? If yes, what conditions must this currency satisfy?
• What affects the stability of currency?
• What should Russia’s government do to stabilize the ruble?
• Do investors trust the ruble?
